Tulsa Youth Cabaret Performs at Tulsa Oilers

Tulsa Youth Cabaret performed the Star Spangled Banner at the Tulsa Oilers Hockey Season Opener on October 13, 2018. What a fun night! Thank you to the BOK Center, and the Tulsa Oilers for your hospitality and for trusting us to provide the National Anthem for such an important game to over 8,000 people! Congratulations to the members of Tulsa Youth Cabaret for such a heart-warming and successful first appearance of the year! 

Spring 2018 Cabaret show highlights

As part of the Tulsa Performing Arts Center's annual festival, SummerStage Tulsa, Tulsa Youth Cabaret put on a two-night show entitled, One Perfect Moment, in the beautiful Liddy Doenges Theater. Tulsa Youth Cabaret is proud to announce they have been chosen to perform as the youth chorus at The Orbit Initiative's musically-adapted presentation of Shakespeare's "The Tempest" on the PAC's Chapman Stage June 7-9. Orbit Initiative is the PAC's newest project, taking place of SummerStage.

Tulsa Youth Cabaret is a program created to help youth that are passionate about musical theatre to further reach their dreams of one day ending up on broadway by having the highest level of training possible in the disciplines of singing, dancing and acting. Guided by top educators in the field, TYC members are taught technical elements of singing to ensure they achieve vocal growth and maintain healthy vocal practices.

The invitation and audition-only group meets weekly to work on broadway ensemble and solo pieces that are presented in two concerts throughout the year. Singers receive vocal, dance and acting training throughout the programs available. The program is open to auditionees grades 1-12, whom are placed in either Advanced, Intermediate or Beginning group, based on their audition. All classes incorporate dance.

One of the most rewarding elements of being a musical theater performer is the ability to connect with audiences while singing. Tulsa Youth Cabaret programming doesn't just allow your child to sing and dance, instead it provides crucial instruction in aiding students in connecting with themselves and audience members in their performing to pave the way for unwavering confidence that causes your child to be recognized as a leading performer in all their endeavors on stage.
